Amazing Lindsay's Cupcakes...
In one week I have gone from making cupcakes for a friends birthday to making and selling my cupcakes at the tavern, and filling three "orders" for paying customers. Wow, how did this happen? Crazy!

Sometimes I forget...
... how much I love music. Thank you for reminding me.
Mumford and Sons
Mumford and Sons
Edward Sharpe and The Magnetic Zeros
Chuck Ragan
Dustin Kensrue
And of course, Flourence (and the machine).
Thank you, you are all music to my ears on this blustery Saturday!

uh oh...
I am currently working on a birthday present for one of my wonderful friends. I decided that I was going to create a wonderful hand dyed scarf for her in all of her favorite colors. Unfortunately, I forgot to put on gloves. Now my hands are stained a horrible bluish-greenish-greyish color. It looks like I slapped a crying smurf. I am actually contemplating wearing gloves to work tomorrow. Oh man, what are the kids going to say?

Today...
Is officially summer day 1. Though I have already lost track of the days, I was told today is Monday. First day of summer, and I am already bored. I think I need a new hobby. Maybe I should learn to knit, take pictures, read more than I already do, enroll in a cooking class (or ten), start writing again, sit in the sun and catch cancer, watch everything on my Netflix, make word searches, then do them, fix cars, paint all the rooms in my house, or paint pictures. I don't know. If today is day 1, and I am already bored, then I have a long summer ahead of myself. We'll see how it goes.

The Summer of Lindsay
I'm not gonna lie, summer is sort of boring. I am wrapping up my third week, and I have to say, I am pretty bored. It totally doesn't feel like summer either. Maybe if the temperature reached at least 75 I would have the desire to go to the beach. Well, it hasn't. It has been three weeks of 70 degree, breezy days. I am sick of this shit. I just want it to feel like summer. I am sure that when it does get summery, I will bitch and moan about the heat, but I would rather it be hot when I am not working, than when I have to go to school every day.

What should I do?
A few days ago I got an email from a man (I assume, his name was Michael) that I do not know.It was a mass email, but I could not see the other recipients. This email was informing me that Michael just moved, and that he wanted me to know his new address in Sacramento. In his email he said that he hopes I am doing well, and he hopes to have me over soon. Interesting, very interesting. Since I am soon a woman of leisure (and now it looks like it might be for longer than expected, but that is the story for another post), I will have tons of time on my hands. Should I start sending this Michael dude things? Should I sign him up for magazine subscriptions? Should I send him a "Congratulations on your new home" card? Should I go visit him and simply say "You said that you hoped to have me over soon, I had some free time, I thought I would spend some time with you, Stranger man Michael, in this lovely city of Sacramento." Then, while I am there, I can hunt down the governor, punch him in the nads, then when he looks at me I will point at his face and say "YOU KNOW WHY!"
Okay, sounds like a plan. Is anyone up for a road trip? I need backup, just incase he is a murderer or something.
